Basic Carp Fishing Pointers

Carp fishing tips. It is frustrating but carp fishing is awesome. Carp are truly clever at sucking in and then blowing out suspicious baits. It is so exciting to witness the whole sequence in a fraction of a second as you cling on for dear life while the reel is trembling with a loud noise.

Carp contentedly eat on the surface so long as you make sure the pellets, bread, biscuits, chic peas, and re-hydrated corn keep coming in, and these are not expensive baits at all. Just put them on the hooks, especially the bread. Get the biscuits softened by immersing them in the water for roughly two minutes, after whichyou should place them in a sealed polythene bag for about sixty minutes.. There are different brands which have various textures so you will need to experiment to know which is firm enough to cast. An alternative way to hook baits is supergluing the pellet into the shank.

When they are into feeding, let them feel at ease around the bait. This gives more opportunity for the angler since they begin to not feel picky. This  can be a useful tactic use with zig rigs.

Once  they’re feeding, cast the bait but make sure the bait does not drop directly onto the feeding carp. Cast the bait away from where they are feeding aand then slowly bring it into position. While the bait is till hanging, keep putting the feed in so as to keep the fish from moving off.

How to Set-Up?

• Try a hair rig to increase your chance of success. Carp always taste food first and if they dislike the taste, they will not go near it.

• You can also use a Spider Line, 50 lbs test, then use a leader material that fits the situation.

• Thread the bait on the baiting needle and hook the hair loop. You may also use foam dipped in a flavor as this enhances the attractiveness of the bait.

• You can make a baiting needle by just straightening a long shank hook. Slide the bait on the shank, then slide the bait from the needle onto the hair.

• Utilising a float is also to your advantage because the extras weight for ensures further distancing and the location is quickly identified.

• Don’t forget the controller float rig. A leader can be used which is attached to the swivel to its mainline of at least 3 feet length with a 10lbs Drennan double strength. A low diameter mono will do just as long as it floats well enough for visibility.

Most experts say that the bait does not catch the carp but it is the way in which the bait is introduced. Pre-bait regularly, just in one spot for several days. This then serves to make the fish believe that there is a regular source of food for them and by “word of mouth” there’ll soon be a school of fish around. Just be patient, heed our carp fishing tips and it will all work out for you..
